Rally Day—or it could be called Christian Education Sunday, is the kick-off Sunday for our educational year. It is our chance to welcome everyone back from summer and revitalize our Sunday school classes.

This year on September 9th, Sunday school classes will meet in their respective classrooms from 9:40-10:40 a.m. This is a time to share fellowship, a time to share in our learning and study, and a time to renew our mutual commitment to one another. What we as Christians have in common though, is not just a commitment to learning and study, but a commitment to our faith.

For study this year the adult classes will be using the Present Word curriculum, and books of their choice. The elementary students

will be using the Faith Alive: Kid Connection curriculum. Middle school students continue with the

Faith Alive: Walk with Me curriculum. Our High School students continue to learn with Pastor Alex at Senior High Youth Fellowship Sunday evenings and to assist the elementary teachers on Sunday mornings.

Share Your Produce

During the summer months we will again share produce from our gardens. If you have an abundance of produce from your garden, please bring it in and leave it on the Mission Table in the Gathering Place. If you like something you see on the table, feel free to take it home with you – hopefully there will be bags available for you to use. Any produce left at the end of the fellowship time after the 11:00 a.m. service will be taken to DDB.

time. Anyone interested in helping facilitate this initiative can sign up at the Welcome Center in the Gathering Place. Or contact Debbie Olson (533-4548) or Joanne Alwine (545-1588).

a parasol to keep you shaded from the sun. Plan B, if the weather does not permit us to be outdoors, will be to have worship in the sanctuary and the picnic in Fellowship Hall. The cost for the picnic lunch is $9.00 per adult and $5.00 per child age three through twelve. Children three and under are free. Sign-ups will begin August 5, 2012 at the Welcome Center.

Please join us on Rally Day to renew and revitalize our commitment to one another and our faith.
