YO 530 Beginning Spanish: Ages 5-8 Learn Spanish in a fun way with games, music, crafts, and dances. This basic introduction to Spanish language includes greetings, colors, numbers, family members, shapes, food, animals and clothing.



YO 604 Candy Math Graphing Students will sort candies by colors completing math problems, graph and compare with other participants to see how graphs differ. Focus can change from counting, color identification, matching the graph with the data, recording, estimation, organizing data, averaging numbers. Information: Students will be allowed to eat the candy at the end of each camp.

YO 781 App AttackUsing a specialized app and game development tool, students will explore the world of web-based (HTML5) mobile apps, learn the basics of mobile app design and game development, and how the world of app publishing functions. Student-created apps will be accessible on a private site and can be played on any mobile device or computer. No prior experience is necessary and students do not need to own a smartphone or tablet to take the class.





YO 780 App Adventures Continue your quest to make the next viral app! Whether you want to move past the basic techniques learned in App Attack or want to jump right in, we are ready for you! Students will choose from a selection of different web-based (HTML5) mobile apps and explore more in-depth programming concepts. YA 607 Elements of Babysitting 101 Under the supervision of a camp teacher, students will assist in classroom management, educational activities and nurturing the learning environment of children 5-12 years of age. Graduates of the Babysitter Safety Training class or those who have completed a babysitting class and hold a current CPR card are eligible to practice childcare skills in the Pima for Kids Camp classroom and earn a certificate.

YA 815 Zombie Apocalypse There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for. Take a zombie apocalypse for example, what do you need to do before zombies, or earthquakes, or pandemics actually happen? While working in a creative, imaginative scenario, students learn real skills about planning, decision making, and emergency services when they build an emergency kit, learn how to triage and treat injuries, develop a communication strategy; all toward the goal of identifying the cause and cure of the zombie outbreak.

YA 787 Minecraft DesignerIf you love the game Minecraft®, but always wanted to design your own characters and buildings for your games, this class is for you! Learn the basics of creating 3D models using a new software to design your very own objects, create skins for characters, and import them into your favorite Minecraft® games. To access projects at home, students, must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft®. Tablet, phone, and game console version of Minecraft® are not compatible.


YA 781 App AttackUsing a specialized app and game development tool, students will explore the world of web-based (HTML5) mobile apps, learn the basics of mobile app design and game development, and how the world of app publishing functions. Student-created apps will be accessible on a private site and can be played on any mobile device or computer. No prior experience is necessary and students do not need to own a smartphone or tablet to take the class.

YA 780 App Adventures Continue your quest to make the next viral app! Whether you want to move past the basic techniques learned in App Attack or want to jump right in, we are ready for you! Things to KnowHow do I choose appropriate camps and courses?

• Discuss with your child what is available in their age group.• Select a location.• Mornings (8 a.m. - noon) and afternoon (1 - 5 p.m.) camps are

available everyday . Full-day camps are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.with a supervised lunch from noon - 1 p.m.

• There are two age groups available in the youth category:5 - 8 and 9 -12 years old.

• Teen Scene-Young Adult classes are typically offered forages 13-17.

How and when should I register?• In person at any campus.• Complete and mail the registration form provided in this

publication (address is on form).• Call Student Services at 520-206-6468 or register and pay

online at www.pima.edu/continuinged.

NOTE: Payment is due at the time of registration. No refundswill be considered unless the request is received seven calendar days prior to the start of the class or camp.

If my child enrolls in a morning and afternoon camp, what do I do about the lunch hour?

• Full-day campers should bring a sack lunch, a few snacksand plenty of water each day.

• Onsite coordinators pick up each full-day camper from themorning camp and escort them to a dining area.

• The one hour lunchtime is monitored by the onsitecoordinator. After eating, campers are allowed free time foractivities, then they are escorted to their afternoon camp.

• Lunchtime care is only provided for full-day campersregistered for the Full-Day Camps (YO990) and campersenrolled in Elements of Babysitting 101 (YA607).

Who works at Pima for Kids Camp?• Pima for Kids instructors and site coordinators have

completed the hiring process which includes reviewand approval by PCC Board of Governors and a currentbackground check.

Do camps get cancelled? • Although camp cancellation is not common, if enrollment is

too small to cover expenses, a camp would be cancelled.In the event of a cancellation, Continuing Education staffhave been highly successful in finding a camp session thatwill meet your needs.

• In the event a suitable replacement camp is not found, fullrefunds will be given.

Where and how do I drop off my child?• Look for the directional sign outside the campus directing

to the Pima for Kids Camps.• Each camper must be signed in and out daily by a parent/

guardian. • Sign in sheets are located in the camp classroom. • Information on the designated drop-off/pick-up locations

will be sent to the parent/guardian in a confirmation letter following registration.

NOTE: Sign in should be 15 minutes before the designated camp start time.

Where and how do I pick up my child?• Arrive on campus when your child’s camp is scheduled

to end.• Meet your child at the camp classroom and sign the

child out.NOTE: Unattended Pima for Kids minors are not allowed on PCC campuses. A $25 fee will be charged for every 15 minutes following the end of pick up time (12:30 p.m. for morning campers and 5:30 p.m. for evening campers).

Is there someone who can watch my child before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m.?

• Full day campers can arrive at 7:30 a.m. and stay to 5:30 p.m.

• Morning campers can arrive at 7:30 a.m. and stay to 12:30 p.m.

• Afternoon campers can arrive at 12:30 p.m. and stay to 5:30 p.m.

We have more than one child to enroll, is there a discount for multiple children in the same family?

• A discount for multiple children in the same family is available for any $159 camps or full week camps.

• All registrations and payment must be made during the same call.

• The first child is registered at the full camp rate of $159, then subsequent children may register for $159 camps and pay only $125.

• Multiple children in the same family being registered for

full week camps pay $279 for the first child and $209 for subsequent children.

• In order for the discount to be applied, call 520-206-6468 to register and pay.

Our child wants to enroll in more than one camp, is there a discount for one child signing up for multiple camps?

• A discount for a single child enrolling in two or more camps is available for any $159 camp or full week camp.

• All registrations and payment must be made during the same call.

• The first registration is at the full camp rate of $159, then subsequent camps are $125.

• A child registering for a full week camp at $279 may sign up for additional full week camps at $209.

• In order for the discount to be applied, call 520-206-6468 to register and pay.

Continuing Education PoliciesRefund PolicyNo refund will be considered unless the request is received at least seven calendar days prior to the start of the class. Refunds will be paid in full for classes that are cancelled. Cancelling any registra-tion combined to earn a discount voids the discount.

CancellationsContinuing Education is supported by participant fees. For this reason, it is necessary to establish minimum enrollment require-ments for each class. Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel a class. In the event of cancellation, every effort is made to contact participants by phone and/or email 48 hours prior to the start date of the class.
