YO 100A Sewing I: Ages 8 - 12 Students will learn how to sew a running stitch, make a simple hem, use a sewing machine, choose and cut patterns while completing simple projects. Completion of this course qualifies students for YO/YA 100b Sewing II. Information: A $10.00 materials fee is included in the course price.

Things to KnowHow do I choose appropriate camps and courses?

• Discuss with your child what is available in their age group.• Select a location.• Mornings (8 a.m. - noon) and afternoon (1 - 5 p.m.) camps are

available everyday . Full-day camps are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.with a supervised lunch from noon - 1 p.m.

• There are two age groups available in the youth category:5 - 8 and 9 -12 years old.

• Teen Scene-Young Adult classes are typically offered forages 13-17.

If my child enrolls in a morning and afternoon camp, what do I do about the lunch hour?

• Full-day campers should bring a sack lunch, a few snacksand plenty of water each day.

• Onsite coordinators pick up each full-day camper from themorning camp and escort them to a dining area.

• The one hour lunchtime is monitored by the onsitecoordinator. After eating, campers are allowed free time foractivities, then they are escorted to their afternoon camp.

• Lunchtime care is only provided for full-day campersregistered for the Full-Day Camps (YO990) and campersenrolled in Elements of Babysitting 101 (YA607).

Who works at Pima for Kids Camp?• Pima for Kids instructors and site coordinators have

completed the hiring process which includes reviewand approval by PCC Board of Governors and a currentbackground check.

Do camps get cancelled? • Although camp cancellation is not common, if enrollment is

too small to cover expenses, a camp would be cancelled.In the event of a cancellation, Continuing Education staffhave been highly successful in finding a camp session thatwill meet your needs.

• In the event a suitable replacement camp is not found, fullrefunds will be given.

Where and how do I drop off my child?• Look for the directional sign outside the campus directing

to the Pima for Kids Camps.• Each camper must be signed in and out daily by a parent/

guardian. • Sign in sheets are located in the camp classroom. • Information on the designated drop-off/pick-up locations

will be sent to the parent/guardian in a confirmation letter following registration.

NOTE: Sign in should be 15 minutes before the designated camp start time.

Where and how do I pick up my child?• Arrive on campus when your child’s camp is scheduled

to end.• Meet your child at the camp classroom and sign the

child out.NOTE: Unattended Pima for Kids minors are not allowed on PCC campuses. A $25 fee will be charged for every 15 minutes following the end of pick up time (12:30 p.m. for morning campers and 5:30 p.m. for evening campers).

Is there someone who can watch my child before 8 a.m. and after 5 p.m.?

• Full day campers can arrive at 7:30 a.m. and stay to 5:30 p.m.

• Morning campers can arrive at 7:30 a.m. and stay to 12:30 p.m.

We have more than one child to enroll, is there a discount for multiple children in the same family?

• A discount for multiple children in the same family is available for any $159 camps or full week camps.

• All registrations and payment must be made during the same call.

• The first child is registered at the full camp rate of $159, then subsequent children may register for $159 camps and pay only $125.

• Multiple children in the same family being registered for

full week camps pay $279 for the first child and $209 for subsequent children.

Our child wants to enroll in more than one camp, is there a discount for one child signing up for multiple camps?

• A discount for a single child enrolling in two or more camps is available for any $159 camp or full week camp.

Continuing Education PoliciesRefund PolicyNo refund will be considered unless the request is received at least seven calendar days prior to the start of the class. Refunds will be paid in full for classes that are cancelled. Cancelling any registra-tion combined to earn a discount voids the discount.

CancellationsContinuing Education is supported by participant fees. For this reason, it is necessary to establish minimum enrollment require-ments for each class. Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel a class. In the event of cancellation, every effort is made to contact participants by phone and/or email 48 hours prior to the start date of the class.
