A video clip showing some pillars at the Hampi World Heritage Site being vandal- ised by a group of persons surfaced on Saturday, spark- ing protests by locals. The clip shows some mis- creants pushing a big stone pillar. The Archaeological Survey of India has filed a complaint with the police. Enquiries revealed that the incident occurred at the Vishnu temple in ruins. As the news spread, peo- ple in Hampi and Kamala- pur, including members of the Save Hampi Samiti, held a protest and sought action.
