Patients move beyond the passive consumption of entertainment services and start to really connect with their health and care, through a range of powerful engagement solutions – Feedback (including Real-Time Surveys and FFT), Facilities (from Menu Display to Meal Ordering), Communications (such as instant translation services), and Education. They can take ownership of their knowledge, choose when and how to provide feedback and make informed choices about their nutrition, all from the comfort of the bed. Utilising the familiar and ever-present bedside device enables hospitals to increase the level of interaction that can be achieved at the bedside, through involving patients directly with their care, supporting patient choice and experience and building towards a fully integrated clinical workflow tool. Hospitals also benefit from powerful data capture across all of the engagement solutions, allowing for increased operational insight and subsequent improvements. FeedbackHospedia’s Feedback solutions give hospitals the opportunity to produce in-patient surveys, publish them immediately, and gather and report on the information in real time. Surveys can be published on the bedside platform, through alternative devices such as kiosks, or over Wi-Fi so patients can use their own devices to provide feedback, delivering a robust Feedback solution.

CommunicationsThe Hospedia Platform provides a way for hospitals and other healthcare stakeholders to communicate directly with patients, individually or through defined patient demographics. A variety of formats provide a tailored approach; link onscreen adverts to appropriate webpages, or create a direct dial that uses the bedside telephone to make a call to the applicable service – smoking cessation, chaplaincy or PALS, for example. In addition, the bedside terminal can be used for live interpretation services saving valuable time and money compared to traditional face-to-face services.

EducationDelivering educational materials to patients is simple and cost-effective through Hospedia’s multimedia bedside platform, reducing paper waste and ensuring patients have access to the most up to date health information available.
