Personal UpdatesAs I write this ministry update, Keren is now in her fortieth weekpregnancy and we are eagerly expecting the arrival of littleKatharBrynanytime now!Wearealso just days away frommarking thefiyear of our marriage covenant under God. TheLord has been uttefaithfulandgraciousinHisdealingswithus.Wehavelearnedmuchfroour Lord Jesus about living together and embodying lives ofmutforgiveness and service.And as we step up to the new challengebeingfirst-timeparents,wedliketoaskthatyoujoinusinpraying.PthatGodmightmercifullygrant thatasweseektoloveandguideochild in thegospelwayimperfectsinnersaswearethatHisperflightmightgraciouslyshinethroughand point usall to theinfinithigherloveandguidancethatweallneedinourJesusChrist.

Zack, herclassmate,has sincebeen attendingour Bible study and together theyhave even invited three otherclassmates to join. It isa joy to beable to talk to young peopleaboutthe gospel and how a properunderstanding of our identities inChrist helps shape our entire lives

Deo Volente UpdatesThe Latin termDeo volente (literally,God willing) or D.v. is traditionally employed in Christian literature asconsciousdeferencetoGodssovereigntyovermattersthatabelieversetsforth toaccomplish. Itisinthissamveinthatweofferthefollowingupdates.

1. BeginningwithNovember7,wearegoingtostartanew52-week teaching series ontheNewCityCatechismatourMidweekPrayerMeetings.Thiscatechismisanewteaching material that teaches key Christian doctrineandtheologyinasimpleQ&Aformat.

2. BeginningwiththeweekofNovember12,wearekickingoffanewweeklyBiblestudyseriesontheGospelofJohnentitledThatYouMayBelieve:Signs,Statementsand

AccordingtoJohn.Thesestudieswiencourageattendeesto studythe lifand ministryof theLord JesusChrismore closely. Attendees will also bprovided with a daily Bible readinschemethatwouldtakethemthrougtheentireGospelofJohnandthebooof Proverbs for the duration of thstudy.

3. Weareplanning to holdAdventWorshipServices on December 2, 9, and 16 inan ti c ipati on and p reparat ion fo rChristmasday.Wearehopingtopromote

theseservicesnotonlytothestudentsweare currently meeting with but also totheir friendsandtootherresidentsin theKatipunanarea.Should theLordblessuswith a good attendance from people intheneighborhood,wewillalsobeholdinga fina l Advent Worship Service onDecember 23 thus completing the fourweeks (i.e. Hope, Love, Joy and Peace)andlightingallfourcandlesinourwreath!

4. Aswemovetowardsthepre-launchphaseofourchurch project, we are increasingly in need ofvolunteersandministrypartnerswho can help usdo thingsaround thenewchurch.Forthisreason,wewillalsobeholdinginvitationalVisionForumsforpotentialvolunteersonthesamedatesastheAdvent Worship Services. These Forums will beheldanhourbeforetheserviceinthesamevenueand will be a place where we could unpack thevision of Pilgrim Community and invite theattendees to prayerfully consider investing ten

months of their lives to the project as a shorttermmission commitment.The idea is to havebrothers and sisters from other churches comeandhelpusgetthechurchplantoffthegroundbyattending and serving at our services for anagreed period of time. After the period ofcommi tment, members o f affil ia techurches are then encouraged toreturntotheirchurches.

5. With the view to launch weekly

Worship Services by June 2013, wewill be holding monthly Lead-upWorship Services on the followingdates next year: January27,February24,March31,April28,andMay26.

6. On 2 June 2013, we will be launchingour regular weekly Worship ServicesforPilgrimCommunityChurch.
