WALK FOR HEALTHY WATER THE ESSENCE OF LIFE

Saturday & Sunday, September 17 and 18, 2016 Beginning at Hwy 60 jct. at Killaloe, 7:30 a.m.

What Is A Water Walk? A copper pail is filled with water and carried around a lake by Anishinaabe-kwewag (Indigenous women)

who bless and sing to the water. The Water Walks braid ceremony, spirit and community to bring people together to teach us about

With this awareness, we can become informed caretakers of our waters.

Ways To Get Involved. *Food donations for potluck after the walk or sandwiches/snacks/beverage for break during the walk.

*Monetary donations for the above and to supply gas for support vehicles.

MAKWA CENTRE WIFI

Due to concerns brought forward in regards to individuals accessing and utilizing the free WIFI outside the Makwa Centre facility we are defining “USER” of the facility as follows:

USER – is someone who is actively engaging and partaking in activity within the facility, either using the gym for recreational purposes or social events, or attending a workshop/meeting in the facility, or using the fitness centre to workout.

In order for facility “users” to access the wifi password they will have to speak to one of the staff of the facility who will ensure they are a “user” of the facility before they are issued the password.

The password will be changed every other day to ensure proper use of the wifi at the Makwa Centre facility.

Your understanding and cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Kerry Andrews Manager, Sports & Recreation
