Pike Lake Provincial Park Visitor Guide Fishing We are not famous for our fishing, but the thrill of the catch can still be experienced here. Ask our staff about the hot spots to fish. Boating The boat launch is located to the south of the golf course. Motor size on the lake is limited to a maximum of 10 hp. Paddle boats and canoes can be rented at Irene's Paddle Boat Rentals just west of the main beach. Trails Lakeside Promenade: This accessible trail enables anyone to explore along the shore. Observation decks take you out over the water for a close up look at aquatic life and waterfowl. This trail begins at the beach and takes you to the mouth of the creek that feeds the lake. Gift of Green Nature Trail (1.5 km): This nature trail follows a loop winding through aspen woodland, over short-grass prairie and across sand dunes. The trail head is located next to the interpreter's office. Bicycles are not permitted on this trail. Cactus Hills Trail (4.3 km): Accessible just south of the golf course this trail features a beautiful forest setting, breathtaking look-out points and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for cross country skiing but is accessible for hiking in the summer months. In-Park Services/Activities Night Owl Camping Cabins: Camping in the comfort of a cozy two room log cabin with 6’ covered deck. The Huddle: A fast food/concession facility located near the main beach. The Huddle is open from mid-May to Labour Day. Golf: A nine-hole sand green golf course, as well as an 18-hole miniature golf course are located in the park. Glow golfing every Saturday, weather permitting. The mini-golf facility is privately operated with a separate admission fee. Contact the course directly for private rentals or group rates. Park Interpreters offer curriculum-based educational programs for school and youth groups from mid-May until the end of June. Interpretive programs and special events are held throughout the summer months. A calendar of programs and events is available at the park office or online. Park Activity Kits (P.A.K.s) are are also available for pick-up at select locations in the park throughout the camping season. CampingThe park offers non-electric, electric, pull through RV sites as well as barrier-free campsites and facilities. One of three service centres features a coin-operated laundry facility in addition to hot showers and modern conveniences.
Seasonal Camping: Available May long weekend until September long weekend. Exceptions apply – check with park.
Group Camping: Looking for a group camping area for your next family gathering? Group camping reservations are available – must be made in advance.
Beaches/PoolBeach: The main beach is located by the main parking lot. Swim only within the marked swimming area.
Leisure Pool/Waterslide: Newly upgraded! The pool is wheelchair accessible. Children under seven years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Swimming Lessons: Offered through the camping season, available for online booking.
