Heidi & Søren Mølgaard, Støvring“Vi chose Jyden’s compact fibre fixtures because they do not take

up too much space, they are easy to clean and also because they

are more durable. At the same time there is good balance between

quality and economy. Jyden did the fitting work for us, which we

were also very satisfied with.”

Jyden is a modern industrial company, develop-

ing and fitting animal housing for professional

farmers.

For us at Jyden, it is of the utmost importance that

our sales reps have solid roots in farming and

have received relevant education. You will notice

this when dealing with us, where we pay serious

attention to your needs and requirements and

then help you find just the right solution for you

and your livestock.

This close co-operation with farmers, who actual-

ly experience the everyday problems when going

about their work in the animal housing – and with

agricultural consultants and contractors – are

important elements of our success in creating

optimal solutions and developing new products.

The result is functional and time-enduring

housing that makes work easier – and still meets

all the rules and regulations concerning animal

ethics.

Since it started in 1923, Jyden has progressed

from a little, local company in the town of Bur in

West Jutland, to a leading position in the market

for fixtures for animal housing for pigs and cattle

in the whole of Denmark, and with export to

Norway, Sweden, Finland and Germany as well as

many other countries all over the world.

Efficient fitting through development, understanding and co-operation

4

For years now, Jyden has been well known for de-

veloping and supplying strong and robust animal

housing – and will continue to be in the future.

By keeping our finger on the pulse, and combin-

ing experience with innovation – and good crafts-

manship with the newest technology, we can

create the best and most functional products for

modern pig and cattle farms.

Our technical development has been placed in

the hands of our competent and capable staff at

Jyden’s technical division. The development work

is carried out in close co-operation with compe-

tent partners and production is carried out partly

at our own high-tech plant in Bur and partly by

carefully chosen business partners abroad.

Jyden’s entire development, production and fit-

ting focuses on function, animal welfare, user-

friendliness and operational reliability – and our

experience and innovation are your guarantee for

quality, strength and robustness.

Jens Vestergaard, Sporup“I chose Jyden because they are renowned for making good,

long-lasting fixtures. They helped with the fitting and we finished

it off. There were hardly any flaws, and the few that did occur,

as unavoidable in a project of this size, were quickly altered. All

together simple and easy.”

Steen Lundgaard Madsen, Lemvig“I’ve had lots of positive experience with Jyden. They’ve got a

good set-up with good products and a good service system,

right from the sales reps to the fitters. They are also good at

following up if there are any problems along the way.”

7

The functionality and quality of the housing are

important factors of the farm’s total production

economy – and therefore also natural elements

of Jyden’s development of housing fittings.

An optimal housing fitting increases efficiency –

and, through flexible solutions in strong quality,

saves time, aggravation and money. With Jyden’s

products you get an efficient, reliable and durable

solution, and thereby the best all over economy.

In order to follow things through properly, we

very much like to install the fittings ourselves.

Our experienced and capable fitters are your

guarantee that the work is carried out reliably

and correctly.

At Jyden we have decided to invest in an exten-

sive stock of finished products, in order to ensure

our customers fast delivery, right on time.

By contacting our staff or visiting our website

www.jydendirect.com, you can be sure of good

solutions for every situation.

In short: Jyden’s fixtures are the best solutions

for your employees, for the animals and there-

fore for your over all economy.

Functional fittings for optimal operations and over all economy

Animal welfare is common sense

Besides the pleasure involved in raising strong

and healthy animals, it is also a question of good

economy. At Jyden, we have constant focus on

creating fittings where animal ethics and opera-

tional economy are in unison.

All fittings and fixtures from Jyden are designed

with the intent to facilitate everyday work with

the pigs and make the cleaning of housing and

pens easier.

By giving careful thought to design and materi-

als, we can offer solutions that save time and

energy – and also lead to improved hygiene, and

thereby healthier pigs.

The design of the fixtures also provides the ani-

mals with optimal mobility conditions – and the

layout minimises the amount of bites and pres-

sure sores.

In the same way Jyden’s design minimises the

risk of the sow lying on the weaners.

In short: Jyden is a sound and sensible invest-

ment in animal welfare.

Jyden has a lot of success in producing a large

part of the housing solutions in fibre reinforced

materials that are both hygienic, strong and save

on valuable space. The fibre based material is

used for stanchions, gates and plates – and is

used in farrowing, weaner and porker pens.

Fibre solutions are easier to clean, whether this is

done manually or by robot – and as there are no

cavities, dirt and bacteria cannot accumulate. In

this way the solid fibre solutions help minimise

the risk of disease in the housing. At the same

time it saves time and energy on cleaning in e.g.

farrowing housing.

Compact fibre plates have a rigidity and resis-

tance to erosion that can be compared to solid,

stainless steel. They have a unique durability and

are long-lasting.

Jyden’s solid fibre panels are only 10mm thick.

This saves on valuable space enabling more

square metres net pen – or a decreased need for

building/investing when starting from scratch.

Farrowing houses with flexibility

There are many years of experience behind Jyden’s

farrowing houses.

Experience that is of benefit to the pigs and

employees through quality, flexibility and design.

A good example of the quality of the farrowing

house is the farrowing wing that is easily adjusted

to suit different sized sows. The farrowing wing is

also designed to prevent the sow from throwing

herself on top of the weaners, thus killing them. An

advantage for animal welfare and your economy.

Five clear advantages of Jyden’s farrowing

houses:

- Minimises the number of weaners killed by

being laid on by the sow

- The risk of injuries is decreased

- Improved animal welfare

- Time-saving

- Long-lasting

12

Controlled climate units with stability and strengthA large concentration of ammonia is given off in

weaner pens, and the pungent fumes within the

housing units are tough on the fixtures. This de-

mands a high standard of quality of the fixtures

and resistance of the fixtures to erosion and

corrosion, something that Jyden takes seriously

when developing and manufacturing our prod-

ucts.

With Jyden’s weaner pens we meet all the re-

quirements for modern production plants and

the thin panels provide significant saving on valu-

able space within the housing. At the same time,

the weaners get the best possible environment

e.g. due to the fact that the controlled environ-

ment lid is fitted right up close to the sides and

rear wall.

Five clear advantages:

- Less disease

- Improved work environment

- Long-lasting

- More ”net pen m2”

- Customised angle-cutting possible

WTF- and porker housing with good health

Good housing hygiene is of the utmost impor-

tance for health amongst porkers – and thereby

also for economy. With Jyden’s easy-clean porker

pens in fibreglass, fewer bacteria accumulate.

The result is less disease.

The thin fibreglass plates also enable a signifi-

cant reduction in the total need for space – free-

ing up more square metres of net pen in existing

buildings and decreasing the need for invest-

ment when starting from scratch.

Five clear advantages:

- Less disease

- Long-lasting

- Snug-fit to the floor

- Improved work environment

- Customised angle-cutting possible

Gestation units with savings

Thorough development work lies behind Jyden’s

gestation boxes. The result is a series of models

that comply with the varying requirements in a

modern pig farm – and which are focused on sav-

ing time, space and money.

Well thought-through and solid closing mecha-

nisms make it as good as impossible for two

sows to get locked into the same box. This reduc-

es the risk of vulva biting and fighting in general

– thereby leading to increased animal welfare.

Five clear advantages:

- Reduced risk of injuries

- Increased animal welfare

- Improved work environment

- Simple construction

- Reliable
