Pier Giorgio Frassati

Born in 1901 in Turin, Italy

He loved hiking, riding horses, skiing, and mountain climbing.

He enjoyed laughter and good humor.

He lived simply and gave away food, money, or anything that anyone asked of him, especially to the poor, the lonely.He loved art and music, and could quote whole passages of the poet Dante. He neglected his own health to try to help others and died at the age of 24 on July 4, 1925 after contracting the polio virus.

He considered his studies his first duty.
