Two types of on-boarding
Transactional• the act of transacting or the
fact of being transacted. • an instance or process of
transacting something. • something that is
transacted, especially a business agreement.
Acculturation• cultural change: a change in
the cultural behavior and thinking of a person or group of people through contact with another culture
• absorption of culture: the process by which somebody absorbs the culture of a society from birth onward
Prior to Day 1 • Send a welcome card to new employee
• Ensure desk is ready with office supplies
• Computer & phone access set-up
• Inform existing staff of new employee
