Narration: Pieces of Georgia is a heart-warming story about a girl who has made a deal with the

school counselor to write in the red journal a few times a week to her mother, who passed away six years

ago. If Georgia does write in the journal a few times a week she may be taken off the schools At Risk

list. Georgia doesnt feel like she will have much to write about being her life isnt interesting. Shortly

after her thirteenth birthday she receives a letter in the mail informing her that she is now a member of the

Brandywine River Art Museum. Georgia knows her father doesnt approve of her drawing. She knows

teachers cant send students gifts, and her best friend Tiffany did not send it to her. Georgia doesnt

believe anyone cares for her enough to give her such a sweet gift. When Georgia finally finds out who

sent the gift she is absolutely shocked and amazed!
