Piece by Piece – Salt and Light, Grace and Truth Weekend Discussion Questions May 14-15, 2016 Community: 1. Who are some people you think have changed our world for the better? What did they do to improve our world? Core: 1. Read Matthew 5:13-16. What does it mean for Christians to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world? 2. What are some of the ways you’ve seen people who follow Jesus being salt and light in the world? 3. Read Ephesians 2:4-10. Based on this section of Scripture, what do you think is the primary mission of the church? How do you see churches get sidetracked on other things instead of their primary mission? 4. Read 2 Corinthians 4:6. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the light of the world, and the light that we bring to the world is simply a reflection of His light. How do you try to be a reflection of Jesus to the people in your life? 5. Jim announced that Flatirons is going to launch another campus sometime in the next few years. When he said that, what was your initial reaction? 6. Why is it important for Flatirons to continue to open new campuses in different places around Denver? How do you see this strategy reflecting the way the early church multiplied in the Book of Acts?
