The PSDE Secretariat arranged the following four Seminars in the month of April 2016.

Bramsh Khan, student of MSc. Economics secured second position in the all Pakistan declamation

contest held at the International Islamic University, Islamabad. She was awarded with shield and cash

prize from the President of Islamic University. Her topic of speech was ‘Youth Needs Nothing less

than Enlightenment”. Bramsh Khan would represent PIDE in the National Round of HEC speech

competition.

Training Course

Project Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E)

April 18-30, 2016

Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) organized a two week training course on “Project Monitoring and

Evaluation” (April 18-30, 2016) for the officers of BPS-17 and above of the Federal/Provincial Governments and Autono-

mous development agencies at PIDE premises. That training was managed by Dr. Usman Mustafa Director Training and Pro-

ject Evaluation Division, and trained 21 participants of different departments from various parts of the country. PIDE always

selects highly qualified resource persons for its training courses from different International, Government and Non- govern-

ment organizations.
