One of the most known and hard to miss sculptures in Downtown Indianapolis would be the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. It was built in 1962 to honor the Hoosiers who were veterans in the Civil War. This monument was designed by German architect, Bruno Schmitz and was said to have an obelisk shape and made out of limestone Indianapolis is home to many attractions including the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and so much more surrounding it. There are plenty of things for people to do downtown, like take a ride in a horse and buggy. Also there are many restaurants and pubs to visit as well, like the Hard Rock Café and the Eagles Nest. Harry and Izzy’s is personally one of my favorites they have amazing steak, if that’s what you are in the mood for.
