Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection in 15-24 year olds. It often has no symptoms but if left untreated it can be serious.

What is chlamydia?

Postal chlamydia screening kits are available to 15-24 year olds in Derbyshire and Derby City. Request a kit from our websitewww.yoursexualhealthmatters.org.uk or call 01246 515730.

Who can do the test?

Chlamydia is easily treated with a single dose of antibiotics. We will arrange for you to receive treatment and can contact any sexual partners for you (we won’t tell anyone that you have tested positive unless you say it’s okay)

Who can do the test?

For males, a postal kit will contain a pot for you to send off a urine sample. For females the kit will contain a vaginal swab (like a cotton bud).There is a form that you will need to fill in with your contact details and a sticker to put on your sample. The completed test can then be sent back to us in the envelope provided.

How does the test work?

We will contact you with your results by your chosen method (text, phone call or letter) within 2 weeks.
