With the goal of fostering life changes through the power of sports, Piccadilly sponsors Fundação Tênis (Tennis Foundation), an organization that supports socially vulnerable children and teens. The purpose of this action is to create possibilities that enable these youngsters to rewrite their life story through tennis. The institution helps over 1,000 children and teens aged 6 – 16. Pre-requisite to qualify is to be regularly enrolled and attend a public school. The program is developed in nine centers. One of them is the Almiro Grings Park, which is named after Piccadilly’s founder and is located in Igrejinha, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In 2013, this site was ranked the “Best Center”, since its work team presented the year’s best results by achieving the proposed mission and objectives. A new store in the Middle EastRecently, Piccadilly opened its first store in Manama, the capital city of Bahrain, in the Middle East. The opening was on October 20, 2013 and is the product of a partnership between Piccadilly and entrepreneur Abdul Latif Al Aujan. He has been a Piccadilly distributor since 2007, saw a huge potential for its products and decided to invest in a brand store. “These are great news for the company, which is constantly expanding”, celebrates Piccadilly CEO, Paulo Grings. The store is located in one of the city’s largest and most prestigious shopping malls, the Seef Mall, and has all it takes to be a huge success.Currently, Piccadilly has 29 stores around the world.

In Cuba, Piccadilly leads sales of women’s shoes and is synonymous with comfort, fashion and innovation. As expected, the company once again participated in the Havana International Fair, which took place November 3 - 9, 2013. Piccadilly’s was the best-attended stand in the Brazilian Pavilion. 2013 was a special year for Piccadilly. For the third consecutive year, it was rated one of the most in-novative companies in Brazil’s Southern Region through a survey conducted by Revista Amanhã in partnership with Edusys and Fundação Dom Cabral. It was ranked 14th in this year’s sur-vey. This reflects the commitment of the entire Piccadilly team and the company’s innovation ef-fort. And that’s not all: the company also ranked on the list of the largest companies and groups of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, published by the Valor Econômico newspaper. The company also received an award as sign of appreciation for its 16 year-long participation in the program Empresa Amiga da Criança (Children-Friendly Company) granted by Abrinq Foundation. The brand also won the 2013 RS Export Award in the category Market Diversification. In addition, the Piccadilly Magazine, published by Profashional Editora, re-ceived the gold medal in the category International Publication granted during the competition held by the Associação Nacional de Editores de Publicações Técnicas, Dirigidas e Especializadas (ANATEC - Brazil’s National Association of Specialized, Directed and Technical Publications). Currently, the magazine is distributed in over 50 coun-tries and has a circulation of 2,000,000 copies in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

A new store in the Middle East

Always keeping an eye on trends and growth opportunities, Piccadilly lately has invested heavily in the virtual world and has already become an important Internet case. In addition to its site, the brand also makes strong use of social networks. Through channels, such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter, it interacts with consumers and strengthens its client relationship. Piccadilly’s main partner in the Middle East owns nine brand stores. Mr. Jasem, who has been a client for 10 years, opened stores in four Kuwait states and distributes Piccadilly foot-wear to other retailers in the country. He sustains that Piccadilly is the best known Brazilian women’s shoe brand in Kuwait. Piccadilly’s director and CEO, Mr. Paulo Grings, and the Foreign Trade Director, Ms. Micheline Grings Twigger, had the pleasure to visit these stores in October 2013. There they found the largest mix of products of all Piccadilly stores around the world. The windows displayed over 300 options of different models in different colors.
