Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet and playwright who spent most of his adult life in France. His light drawings were done with a small powerful torch and a camera set to a long exposure time. The result is a room, most likely very dark when the picture was taken, illuminated by slim rays of soft light.

These photographs were taken in a very dark room with exposure times of 20 seconds. The lights were created by a strong torch which was slowly moved around the area of the photograph.

This image was created by layering the original image of the tornado shaped light on top of the shapes. I used the "Multiply" blend mode with 85% opacity. I also decreased the exposure to -1 and used the black and white effect to mimic Picasso's black and white style light drawings. The result is a similar but darker interpretation of Picasso's work.
