    Physiotherapist

To become a chartered physiotherapist you need a physiotherapy degree approved by

the Health Professions Council (HPC). This will make you eligible for state registration

and membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

To get on to a degree in physiotherapy, you will usually need:

    * At least five GCSEs (A-C) including maths, English and a range of science

    subjects

    * Four AS levels at grade B or above (including a biological science)

    * Three A2 level subjects at grade C or above (including a biological science)

    Activities and Duties:

Your expected activities and duties are to treat sportspersonswith any injuries, give them correct doses of medication or

physiotherapy lessons; youll be working with sportspersons of

ages between 16-40, your objective is to identify the injury or

hazard and improve the patients health, movement and

    function.

You will also be expected to provide advice on how to prevent

    future injury(s).

Your job will not just be to help the physical state of a

sportsperson, but also the mental state, should it need help.

    The purpose of the job:

the purpose of becoming a physiotherapist would be to achieve biological

and scientific success, so you know how to patch people up and help them,

and after youve done the training for it thered be no point in giving up.

Another purpose would be to attain a high position job, such as a

physiotherapist at England national football side, or Manchester Uniteds

    head physiotherapist.

But all physiotherapists start at a low place and work their way up, so you

may start at being the physiotherapist for a football team in the conference

or you may start as a physiotherapist in gymnastics or rugby etc. and work

your way up or even work your way into different sports.

There are a few qualities and skills needed to be a physiotherapist:

you need very high concentration levels and cant afford to be put off

easily or distracted, but you also need to be sociable and chatty with the

people that you are treating or taking care of, because you need to set a

good example and be a friendly ace so people have the confidence to

come to you whenever they feel rather than when its suggested.

You need to be open to suggestions from higher ranked physiotherapists

and must also contribute your own opinion to the situation.

You need to be quick thinking, good at situation handling and handling

pressure, but you also need to be good at problem solving.

You will definitely need good communication skills.
