Dear all,

thanks for the participation to this Tutorial that is intended to encourage

American participation in CUORE analysis. This is just an introduction for the

meeting and

a short presentation of the software tasks more strictly connected to Physics.

the core software environment proposed for Data Analysis implementations is the subject of the present Tutorial and will be discussed by Marco Pallavicini and Marco Vignati.

general software requirements and guidelines for high level software development are drawn in DA Document N.3 on the WEB. And will be further detailed in the future

MonteCarloMonteCarlo simulations are then discussed by Silvia C. and Marco simulations are then discussed by Silvia C. and Marco V. Here the situation is slightly different because the software V. Here the situation is slightly different because the software development is at an advanced stage. As simulations are the development is at an advanced stage. PRIORITIESPRIORITIES

we need to have a responsible for each WP, that means somebody working for each of them

this do not prevent more than one group decide to work on the same WP trying different implementations (and in some case this is certainly desirable, think e.g. to the Pulse Processing techniques)

but there will be priorities to be respected and duties and tasks to be fulfilled in code development

for example:completion of WP n.7+8 is intended to give support to Cuoricino routine analysis

completion of WP n.2-4+9+10+12 will lead to reproduction of the Cuoricino analysis tools

Page 7: Physics and Data Analysis Working Group – January 2007 Dear all, thanks for the participation to this Tutorial that is intended to encourage American participation.

PRIORITIESPRIORITIES

also in the validation and approval of the codes (for which we will define protocols and benchmarks) we will fix priorities (the test phase of codes will require a large fraction of human resources)

DOCUMENTATION - TEST AND APPROVALDOCUMENTATION - TEST AND APPROVAL

documentations an test procedures as well as the protocol for code validation will be fixed in the next future

UPON THE ASSIGNMENT OF A WP RESPONSABILITY REQUIREMENTS, MILESTONES AND PRIORITIES WILL BE

DEFINED
