Spherical mirrors­ Three special rays ...

1) Parallel to the Principal axis. After reflection passes through the Focal Point (F). 

2) Passes through (or is headed toward) the focal point, and reflects parallel to the principal axis.

3) ..Passes (or it is headed toward) the center of curvature and is reflected back along the same line.

 Ch.20: Traveling WavesA  waves  is  a  traveling  disturbance  –  organized  motion  of  the particles in the medium.

The  particles  of  the  medium  do  not  travel  with  the wave! They oscillate around an equilibrium point… The wave is transferring energy in the direction it propagates.
