Physical Literacy can be described as the — ‘Motivation, confidence, physical competence, knowledge and understanding

to maintain physical activity throughout the life course’.

Outcomes: Participants will:

Overview: Physical Literacy KS1: developing core stability

The impact of improved core stability has shown a marked improvement in the ability of pupils not only in physical activity, but also in their ability to sit comfortably in class and therefore concentrate for longer periods and improve writing skills etc.

The increased confidence this gives has a significant impact on their ability to learn. The training will give a brief introduction to the issues that we are currently facing, i.e.

children not achieving their normal developmental milestones at 7 years (Year 2). You will learn how to use the Assessment Tool and implement the intervention programme.
