Abstract. This is the abstract of the paper. The abstract briefly summarizes the main results andmethodology in the research or experiment. It should not contain details of the result especially data.Main conclusion is stated in the abstract. Abstract should be italicized.

Keywords: expansion, aluminum, copper, resistance, coefficient, temperature

IntroductionDiscuss the basis for the experiment includingsome theoretical background leading to theproblem being investigated. Observe properformat as suggested in this template. Paragraphsare Justified (alignment) and separated by singleempty lines. Font is 10/11 point Times NewRoman/Tahoma/Verdana. Section headings are inbold. Margin in all four sides is 0.5 inches andthe two columns are spaced 0.5 inches apart.

Clearly state and define the problem and itsimportance or applications.

If equations are used in the analysis of theexperiment results, discuss it here in the firstpart of the paper. Derive the equations ifnecessary or cite your references where theequations are obtained.

Also include a discussion on the possible

outcomes of the experiment and theirimplications on our understanding of nature.

Materials and MethodThis part of the paper details the procedureemployed in the experiment including thetheoretical basis for such procedure. Do notpresent the procedure as a list of steps but inparagraph form. Do not copy the step by stepprocedure from the laboratory manual.

Describe the setup of the experiment using adiagram. Properly label your diagrams and

describe the materials used in the setup. Take aphoto of the set up. Explain the function or roleof each material.

ResultsBefore discussing the main results, write aboutyour actual experiences in the conduct of theexperiment especially on problems encounteredin measurement, setting up of the experiment, recording and gathering of data. Also includeyour comments on the design of the experiment.

Present the results using a diagram or a table. Inpresenting a table, do not show every data yougathered. Instead, make a table summary ofdata containing only those values needed indiscussing the result in relation to the principle orproblem being investigated. Actual data sheetsare attached as appendices in the formal report.

Do not include answers to the Guide QuestionsAnswers to Guides Questions shall be submittedon the day of the exam.

DiscussionBefore starting your discussion, restate theproblem being solved and/or the principle beingexplored. Make sure to relate the discussion tothe original problem you are solving.
