President’s Message

Hey Key Clubbers,

Welcome to the service year of 2012-2013! As your new president, I will

do everything I can to make this a successful one. Our district project

this year supports the wonderful Eliminate Project; we are continuing

to fight maternal/neonatal tetanus in countries around the globe. (It

costs only $1.80 to save a life). So get ready for a year full of saving lives

while having fun! Without further ado, please continue reading the

rest of the newsletter by our new editor, Aleena!

Eliminate Project Fundraising Total 2011-

2012 Service Year: $97,000.

2012—2013 District Governor—Nicole Ventrone

Congrats! This past service year, all of New Jersey joined together to raise

$97,000 for the Eliminate Project. After exceeding well beyond anyone’s

expectations, it’s safe to say that this past year has been an extremely suc-

cessful one. Pat yourself on the back New Jersey and keep up the good

work! Make it your goal to do even more this year. It’s your time to prove

that you can do even better than last year.

2012-2013 District Project

Together, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have start-

ed the fight to end maternal and neonatal tetanus all over

the world. The disease plagues the lives of thousands and

causes excruciating amounts of pain and suffering.

Over 100 million mothers and their future children

must be immunized in order to eliminate MNT from our

planet. This requires $110 million (US) as well as all of our

hard work and effort. Join together to help gather $1.80 for

one immunization. Less than $2 can save a life.

Member of the Month

KRUPA PATEL

Krupa demonstrated her devotion to Key Club

when leading her grade’s class project. The sopho-

more class, under her direction was able to collect

around $200 (by selling Hershey kisses!) as well as

supplies to be donated to a local animal shelter.

The officers and advisors would like to recognize

and commend Krupa’s hard work and effort in putting

in action an effective and successful project that can

be used in future years.

Congratulations to…
