The Solar Energy Market is developing very fast. In the next years the growing rate of MWp-Power-Plant installations will be 20–30% world wide. At the same time the manufacturing industry is consolidating and prices are dropping rapidly. The pressure on the EPC companies to deliver best performance for lowest prices is increasing constantly.
The EPC companies have to redefine their quality and market strategy. Just a prototype certification is no longer sufficient for investors, banks and assurance companies. A new standard of quality and permanent cost reduction is necessary to survive.

Testing and Certification Process
To ensure the long-term success and reduce the risk of losses PI-Berlin established a PV power plant testing and certification process including operation and warranty assessments.
The combination of field experience and countless PV modules tested in PI-Berlins test labs are the basis for the testing and certification process. To suit the needs of the EPC companies the structure of the process is arranged to follow the different steps of PV power plant constructions. PI-Berlin checks and provides sup-port for all the steps which are needed for the installation of a new PV power plant.

Validation of system design, planing and engineering − Evaluation of planning and documentation
