Basic info & tips• Pixel based program• Good photos =

– Good lighting– High resolution/high DPI

• Always make sure you save as JPEG/TIFF– Make sure you write .jpeg or .tiff at the end

• Photoshop can’t fix really bad photos– i.e. really underexposed (really dark) will be really grainy – can’t fix this

• Tools are to AID, when they become too much – photos will look fake and unrealistic – don’t let special effects become special DEFECTS – there is a fine line!

• PHOTOSHOP IS A HUGE, COMPLEX program, it will take time and practice to learn

• Watch tutorials online– CS3 version 10.0

Tasks

• Find word document titled ‘photoshop tasks’ and printed out for you– (get me to sign after you’ve done each one)

• Save them onto your USB/harddrive

• Make a powerpoint with your steps/screen grabs

You will upload each picture and the powerpoint onto your blog when complete.
