PHOTO-SHOOT PLANNING SHEET

Page 2: Photoshoot planning

I am carrying out a photo-shoot to make a good music magazine cover which is aimed at my target audience so they buy my music magazine. The photo-shoot will help

me experiment how I want my front cover page to be. To create narrative to the shots needed I will take various

different shots.During my photo-shoot I need unsure to take my pictures

in various different posses and just not one, couple of pictures so there's various choices to pick out of the ones

taken. So planning postures are very important so you don’t

have to carry out your photo-shoot sessions various times.

PHOTO-SHOOT CONCEPT

My main aim would be:• Ensuring my pictures will make a impact on my target

audience• I take various different photos of the same pose so I have

various choices• Carrying out a template for my music magazine

• Using my questionnaire analysis during the production of the magazine

• respecting individuals rights, so carrying out a risk assessment to unsure everything went well.

• Getting full permission from my model and informing her about what she will be doing and understanding the

postures.

AIMS

Page 4: Photoshoot planning

I will be carrying out various photo-shoots as I won’t be able to get it done on the same day due to the fact we are not allowed to use the

SLR camera out of college premises.

Also my model would be busy with her life so I would have to unsure we are both free on a specific day.

Planning the timings I would require to take some photos after sunset as it would go nicely with my genre indie, but not for all of my

pictures which I will be carrying out in daylight in the college garden.

Also I will have to check the weather before ensuring it’s not raining on that day, as the weather is very important to consider as my

pictures wont come out how I want it too.

The timing for it would be really important as my aim is to only spend half an hour to do the sunrise pictures as I have to carry out sunset

pictures too.

DATE & TIMINGS:

Page 5: Photoshoot planning

I would take my photo shoot either in my garden or in the school environment but for my music magazine I will be changing the background image anyway as my themes based on Indie therefore its not likely to be taken in a day environment. I would like to take one in my

garden with a gloomy effect coming from my model depending on her clothing.

During the preparation process I will have to make sure my model brings all her props of

clothing so my responsibility to remind her to get everything prepared the night beforehand. Go

through my check list.I'll have to unsure that the SLR is charged fully before using it but before that I will need to get

permission of using the camera in the first place.

EQUIPMENT & PREPARATION:

For my front page I want my model to pose like I have shown in the sketch, by keeping her

hands towards the picture giving it a

gothic look with the theme of black clothing

and black makeup as this will represent

indie.
