Artist Biography

Galen Dailey is an artistic photographer raised in Santa Cruz, California. His passion for photography began around the age of fourteen and has intensified throughout his time in High School. Living in Santa Cruz has given Galen the unique experience of being exposed to both natural subjects and city life subjects for his photographs. He greatly enjoys street photography, but what he enjoys most is more spontaneous work. Capturing that decisive moment that takes an otherwise ordinary photograph and raises it into the realm of art. Taking pictures without planning too much before hand, he feels preserves the authenticity of the moment and captures what is really happening. Galen has had experience with programs such as adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, and was also the Official Team Photographer for a group from his church on a mission trip to Mansa, Zambia. He plans to continue photography throughout his time in college, and looks forward to the photographs he doesnt even know he will take!
