“Open”
This is a close-up of an old fire hydrant at a park not far from my house. My intent is to use this picture to
add an interesting dash of red to my room.
This image was shot as a .CR2 (Camera Raw), was developed in Lightroom, and then converted to a high resolution JPEG.
ISO 800 55 mm f/ 5.6 1/100 sec
“Again and Again and Again”
This is part of the railing on High Line. I was leaning on this railing in the early fall when I looked down at it
and noticed the monotony of the evenly spaced rivets. My intent was to capture the monotony of the rivets
converging to their vanishing point.
This image was shot as a .CR2 (Camera Raw), then converted to a high resolution JPEG.
ISO 200 55 mm f/ 5.6 1/80 sec
“Beautiful Chaos”
This is the front lawn of one of my grandmother’s neighbors. I shot this
right after Super Storm Sandy during all the chaos, but yet it is still beautiful.
This picture sits on my desk and challenges me to find beauty even in
chaotic situations.
This image was shot as a JPEG and then converted to black and white in Lightroom. The license plate number was pixelated in Gimp to avoid legal
complications.

“Peace”
I found this on a tree near my house following the Boston Marathon
Bombing. “I wish there was world peace.” Can’t we make this kid’s wish
come true?
This image was shot as a .CR2 (Camera Raw), was developed in Lightroom, and then converted to a high resolution JPEG.

Series
I taught myself everything I
know about photography.
Therefore, to improve a certain
aspect of my photography I
sometimes shoot a series of
photographs on it. The
following are excerpts (three
images) from two series I shot;
the first one is on pattern the
second is on color. The purpose
of the following six images is
nothing more than means of
improving the way I perceive
color and pattern.
