Jennifer Strand Photography influences. These are the images I’m using for influences as for my images I want them to be quite distorted to represent how people suffering from schizophrenia and depression can feel, confused, mixed thoughts and sadness. My pictures will have the same dark colours used as shown in these particular images. I will be using the same model for all of my images as I want to do a type of story of following her round on quite a bad day for her and represent what’s going on in her mind by representing this in my images. I want to bring schizophrenia and depression more out in the open and by adding the helpline numbers in the bottom of the images; it’s kind of raising more awareness to the still quite hidden illness. I will be using Photoshop often to manipulate my images. For example in the above picture manipulation has obviously been used as another face is coming out of his mouth. To me, this is to represent somebody suffering wanting to say something but not having the courage/confidence to do so. I want to do the same and get a message

Photography influences.

I want to do the same and get a message across in my images. I will also be writing a short story with factual information in it also. I’ll do this so it accommodates the images and will piece things together more. In the short story it will state things about the girl throughout. I’ll be adding things such as statistics also.
