Photography and photo imaging:Photography is done with a camera lens and takes pictures also known as a photo image but there photographers that takes photos in weddings ect also its used by everyone but most of all its taken for memories. Typically, a lens is used to focus the light reflected or emitted from objects into a real image on the light-sensitive surface inside a camera during a timed exposure. The result in an electronic image sensor is an electrical charge at each pixel, which is electronically processed and stored in a digital image file for subsequent display or processing.

Photography and Photo imaging industery:The total Photo Imaging workforce comprises around 43,100 people. 51% of these are based in the south of England, with the largest proportion - some 38% - in London and the South East. The rest of the workforce is spread throughout Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the remaining regions of England, with the highest concentrations in the South West (13%) and the East of England (12%).

The Photo Imaging industry is made up of 8,700 companies, two thirds (68%) of which are sole trading or freelance photographers.

How has Digital technology affected this industry:Digital technology has affected photography and photo imaging industry in a good way as theres more employment needed as theres better and high technology in cameras and photos and more job roles needed in the industry. Today is so much quicker to get a photo taken then they did few decades ago as before the quality werent as good and wasnt even in colour or you had to try and get a good lighting room because there was no proper flash. You can even send images now through email and the internet as before you couldnt do any of those things, or no one could afford to get a picture done or buy a camera for themselves so digital technology throughout the years has improved the industry for the better.
