    CONTENTS

  • PORTRAITphotography

These are some of my favorite portraits Ive taken in the past few months. I started this photography course not knowing anything about photography, and now I love the creativity I and skills I have gained. I have been able to see the world and people in a different light. Portraits really give you a chance to see beauty in people you didnt see at first. I would say portrait photography has become my favorite type of photography.

  • MACROphotography

Previously, whenever I heard the word macro, all that came to my mind was macroeconomics. I know, boring. However, when I picked up my first macro lens, I began to see the world in a different way. Seeing things up close is seeing them as they really are. A water droplet, a pendant or even a plant you might walk by every day. Everything is more fascinating when viewed up close.

  • WOOD GRAINseries

  • Wood: one of the most seemingly boring things in the natural world. Right? Wrong. When I look at a piece of wood, I try to remember that it was once part of a tree. A living thing. Looking closely at wood allows you to see what that piece of wood used to be. Its nature art, and nothing as beautiful could be created by man.

  • FREEZEMOTIONFreeze motion was one of my

favorite photo assignments. After I learned how to work my camera settings, freeze motion was one of the first things I wanted to learn. These are my two favorite freeze motion photos I took.

  • PERSPECTIVEphotography

  • Perspective photography gave me the opportunity to get up close with my camera, as well as display different parts of an object that seems boring and plain. Fire hydrants arent exactly something we walk by and pull our phones out to snap photos of. However, I found that shooting it was really fun.

    PERSPECTIVE

  • Not too long ago, photography terrified me. Once I s tar ted tak ing Dig i ta l Imaging, the camera did not scare me and I got the hang of Photoshop. Now, I have a full portfolio of images to share with the world! Photography, editing, layout design and writing by Lindsey Johnson.
