WHO ARE WE?

In the last 7 years, we have won over 25 awards in various fields of photography, including fine art, photojournalism, and

commercial.

Both at the regional and national level, our photography quickly made a name for itself,

as being stylish, innovative, and award-winning.

We are a commercial photography studio turned cosplay focused

photography studio. We’ve been going to comic cons

before they were cool to go to. As the cons evolved, so has the

intensity and passion fans have for cosplay.

But as we saw this progression, we noticed that the photography

wasn’t keeping up, it could be so much more.

A lot goes into cosplay that isn’t normally seen. From the research into the characters, learning new crafting styles

to help create that look, to all the last minute details before a con, the work is endless.

The final reward being the reaction fans give you as you attend a con. But does a simple phone picture really

capture all that hard work?

HOW DO WE DO IT?

1 INITIAL RESEARCH

If all we did was take a picture, everyone would be doing it.

Before the shoot starts, we do research into the character to ensure we capture the essence of them. We’ll collect concept images to base our shoot off of. We get feedback from the cosplayer on what they expect.

2 COMPONENT ILLUSTRATION

We then gather images to create a composite illustration. The photograph is immersed with others to create an environment suitable for the character.

Each piece is carefully selected and blended for a seamless transition.

3 ARTISTIC STYLING

We then take the image and bring it to the next level by creating dynamic lighting and stylizing the image so the piece becomes surreal and loses the sense that it’s a photograph.

We make sure that the environment embraces the cosplay, not to overpower it.

THE PROCESS

First we schedule a shoot with the client, we will email them details about the location, as well as what to bring.

We conduct an interview with the client, to learn about the cosplays they’ll be bringing, so that we can conduct our own research.

Once the day of the shoot has arrived, the client will be professionally photographed and then have a consultation at the end.

After reviewing the images, the rendering process will begin based off of the concepts we researched.

The images will be proofed by the client, allowing minor changes if needed. Once complete the final images will be delivered.

We have 2 types of renders: One that is of a tight shot giving the idea of an environment or action. And a full render that goes into detail of an environment.
