Phorcys™ Subsea Pigging and Hydrotesting Units
Offering greater flow and pressure subsea with unprecedented efficiency, accuracy, and versatility
OVERVIEW
The Halliburton Phorcys™ 3 subsea pigging and hydrotesting unit has an unrivaled track record for precommissioning, maintaining, and decommissioning subsea pipeline and well systems. Incorporating lessons learned from over 20 years of subsea operations, it uses field-proven filtration, flow control, and pumping systems to achieve industry-standard flowrates and pressures.
The Phorcys 3 skid is equipped with a hydraulic hot stab, which allows it to be powered and controlled by most work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
The chemical injection and logging systems give accurate and reliable control of chemicals. The on-board data logger collects all relevant job parameters, and selected information is shown on a digital display panel that can be viewed by the ROV operator.
The Phorcys 3 unit is compact and simple to operate, and incorporates reliable and proven mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
High-quality corrosion-resistant alloys are used for the majority of components, including the loading arm, pipework, valves, and fittings. The Phorcys 3 unit can be stored subsea for extended periods between work scopes with no degradation in reliability or performance.
Phorcys™ 3 Subsea Pigging and Hydrotesting Unit
APPLICATIONS
» Precommissioning of new subsea pipelines, risers, and associated systems
» Maintenance and decommissioning of existing pipeline systems
» Flooding, flushing, pigging, hydrotesting, leak testing, chemical injection, ballasting
» Subsea pumping operations for other applications, including well maintenance and stimulation
FEATURES
» Seabed flooding, pigging, and hydrotest skid with integral pumping system
» High-flow and high-pressure pumping systems powered by ROV hydraulics
» Collapse-resistant flooding 3-inch loading arm
» Integral filtration and flow control » Onboard data logging system » Mobilized as two skids, connected together and deployed subsea as a single lift
BENEFITS
» Free-flooding and hydrotesting hold can be autonomous, without a vessel or ROV, thus optimizing schedules and reducing costs
» Proven design with long track record » Compatible with most work-class ROVs with fitment of hydraulic hot stab
» Compact footprint when assembled » Can be “wet stored” subsea for extended periods

OVERVIEW
Halliburton’s Phorcys™ 3.5 is the latest innovative technology for pre-commissioning, maintaining and decommissioning of subsea pipeline and well systems.
Incorporating lessons learned from over 20 years of subsea operations with advanced subsea technology, the Phorcys 3.5 unit is more reliable, faster, and easier to set up, run, and maintain than previous models. It combines field-proven pumping systems with the latest ROV industry technology to achieve unrivaled flow rates and pressures. Designed, specified, and built in conjunction with a leading ROV manufacturer to produce the most innovation focused precommissioning and pumping unit available today.
The Phorcys 3.5 seabed flooding skid and ROV underslung modules offer the flexibility to be operated individually or docked and latched together magnetically, minimizing hydraulic power requirements.
Our advanced chemical injection and dual redundancy logging systems give unrivaled accuracy and reliability while reducing the need to use excess chemicals.
The onboard multiplex system allows data transfer, data logger setup and control to and from the surface, independent of the ROV controls.
The Phorcys 3.5 unit is compact, easy to mobilize, configure, operate, and maintain. The use of finite element analysis in the design process has minimized vibration and wear in our systems, thus reducing upkeep and prolonging equipment life. The high-quality and corrosion-resistant alloy loading arm uses a rugged standardized bearing set, allowing an easier and more reliable connection.
