It is an exciting time in the history of Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School. We are entering our 10
th year and reflect upon the success of our
school community while looking towards the future of our school. We are in the midst of our annual giving fundraiser for the school, the Phoenix Fund, and we are finishing a five year strategic plan with a new strategic plan for the next five years. A driving force for our school community is our mission statement. Through the efforts of various stakeholders within the education
committee last year, we re-examined our mission statement, and we have added some key words. Here is our revised mission statement with those key words italicized: Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School strives to be a model collegiate school, offering a broad and rigorous, technology-rich educational program to students from diverse backgrounds. Within a caring and respectful multicultural environ-
ment, the school is committed to instilling in each student a desire to learn, to take appropriate risks, and to overcome challenges. The school community is commit-ted to developing students who are life-long learners and responsible citizens who
will succeed in the 21st
century. As we enter the next strategic planning years, we look to a bright future for our students where we are continuously striving for improvement and always focusing on student achievement. Your Principal, Kristine Bennett
