Dear Fronteras Families,
What a fabulous week this was! The students are definitely feeling Springy (no pun intended)! This is a fast and furious time of year, so we appreciate you hangin’ in there with us as we finish a super successful 9 months together! Our lottery for next year’s kindergarteners and first graders was held Tuesday evening. We were fortunate to meet several of our new Fronteras kiddos, as there were a few families who attended. Thank you to Kathy Moffitt, MSBSD representative, and Solveig Eidsness for helping with the lottery!I would like to thank Mr. Axel Buholm for fixing our parking lot posts just minutes after the request was sent out! We really appreciate your quick response! Those posts and tires are not easy to work with, so your determination and success is GREATLY appreciated!A big THANK YOU goes out to Sra. Taner and Sr. Onfray for representing Fronteras at the first ever Kindergarten Night hosted by the school district last Thursday! Spending their own time to meet, mingle, and share about Fronteras’ kindergarten program is greatly appreciated! They are both wonderful examples of the fabulous teaching staff we have! The annual Diversity Night was held yesterday at Teeland Middle School. Thank you to all who attended and assisted with setting up and taking down Fronteras’ displays and information tables!
Next Friday, May 3rd, is the final Early Release of the school year. Also, please keep May 23rd open so you can join us for our end of the year Field Day Fiesta! Thank you to Sra. Cook and Sra. Wolf for organizing both events! We hope to have a lot of volunteers to help run the various stations and games. Please let Sra. Cook know if you’re able to help with the field day activities! All Fiesta questions should be directed to Sra. Wolf at the following email: [email protected] are a lot of things happening yet next month, so please check the calendario de la Escuela to the right, and mark your calendars for the events you don’t want to miss! We’re looking forward to a strong finish, so please continue to get your students to school every day and on time. Again, we appreciate you sharing your children with us! Have a fantastic weekend!
Most Sincerely,
JSchmidt

What's Happening in PEStudents in grades 2-8 finished their archery unit during the past week. It has been so fun watching our archers build their skills. The K1 students have been working
on tumbling and stunts. They've been having a great time jumping and rolling. During the next two weeks (on Monday and Tuesday of each week), Sra.Torres will
be sharing her flair for Latin dance with our students. We'll be moving our feet to Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and La Raspa. Come and join your students to share in
this terrific, culture-rich experience. For the second day of PE each of these two weeks, students in grades 2-8 will participate in their final "Personal Best"
¡Gracias! ¡Gracias! ¡Gracias!Muchas gracias to Mr. Allen, Mr. Ginochio, Mrs. Beck, and Mrs. McGrew for
joining our archery classes and sharing their expertise.
Thanks also to Mr. Pierson who joined his class for their final archery session.

SUMMER READING at its best!!! The Bable of the Books is a state-‐sponsored compeAAon and
every year our State librarians create a book list covering grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
These books are varied by reading levels and subject maber, so there is SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE! Encourage your family to dive into some of these books this summer. You will find all of them at your local borough library along with a posted list of all the Atles. Most libraries have a separate display for this program. Have fun this summer and set some goals for your family: Challenge siblings to read the most books or make-‐up your own version of a game show with quesAons about the books youread or think BIG and have a neighborhood book club! You can find the 2013-‐2014 List at: hbp://www.akla.org/akasl/bb/bbhome.html
