BEING FIRST IS NOT EASY!

Phoenix bike-share program likely delayed until fall

The first launch date for Phoenix's much-

anticipated bike-share program was

scheduled for December, 2013.

What came then was a pilot launch for 20

bikes. Residents were told that the official

launch would be in April, 2014.

But April, which is Valley Bike Month, came

and went with no launch.

At that point, 200 neon-green bikes that

city leaders and bicycle advocates hoped

would be filling the streets were sitting in

storage waiting to be ridden.

BIKE RACK OPTIONS

The bike share systems in other Cycle Hop cities such as Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Santa Monica, San Ramon, and Ottawa were all modeled after Phoenix.

The current design was based on “modular systems” allowing quick and non invasive installations with ability to expand or reduce based on user patters to optimize system performance.

This rack system is secure for public environments without the need to drill or anchor into city property (or private).
