Some time ago we told you about Rosa in one of our letters. We must tell you now that Rosa has gone to be with her Lord,She has been taken away from the misery in which she lived, andthe trials that^she suffered for her faith and all her tears have

been wiped away.

We are sure that had she known what was going to happen ather death she would have suff ered even more. Her family wouldnot permit her to be buried with a "non-Catholic" funeral. Theycalled the priest who conducted the services and when he askedif she was always a Catholic the family told him that she had been. However, for Rosa the fact that the priest gave her a Catholicburial then was not important. She knew in Whom she had believed and because she was "of God" she was able to overcome

her trials and she looked forward to the "new Jerusalem,"

The fact of Rosa*s death has made us more conscious of the

shortness of time to get the Word of the Lord to those who donot know it. We should always realize this fact but somehow ittakes a special event or some kind of shock to bring it to usore forcefully.

One of our listeners wrote recently saying: "I call upon you topray for Norway (and it's necessary now),,.I see that here andall over the world) are so many'sleeping Christians'. It shouldn'tbe like that! Wake up! Go to your work! Crowds are readyfor harvest! Oust to get them to wake up - could you do anything to help? Tell them that they (and we) have to work andwatch?"

Three women were praying in a small church of the convent ofthe Visiting Sisters (Nuns) in a small town in southern Italy, below where we are located at Bari,

- Nextrto-them was a little gir-L, the daughter of one of the women, who was imitating the adults and praying also. They had comefrom another town in order to fulfill a vow they had made to

the "Sacred Heart of vJesus", The eyes of the women and thelittle girl were fixed on the picture of iJesus with the haloed"Sacred Heart", the right hand raised in benediction and theother hand placed as if the figure were indicating the "heart".

While they continued to pray devotedly in the shadowy churchwhere there were no lights except the candles on the altar, itseemed to them that the hand, raised in benediction, closed veryslowly. In that instant the little girl cried: "The picture ismoving!" The three women agreed with her affirmation and allof them began crying aloud: "It is moving, it is moving!"

The Mother Superior of the Convent with other sisters ran intothe church and when they found out what the women were saying, the Mother Superior said: "My dear Son (tJesus), wishes tobless you also. Almost every day when I pray here, the pictureof the Sacred Heart of iJesus gives a sign of life. Also mysisters here have seen this divine miracle."

The fame of this "miracle" spread over all the region and soonthe small church could not hold the number of persons who cameto be "blessed" by this picture.

If this seems to you to be only a fictitious story, let us saythat it is an accurate report of an actual incident. If thesepeople had only known what God reveals in 2 Thessalonians 2:8^10!

Many of you have written asking us what some of the thingsare that we must fight in bringing the Gospel to the people ofItaly. This incident is just one thing, Miiltiply it by hundredsand then add the people's ignorance of the Bible and you havea picture of what makes this a hard field and each victory hardfought and slowly won.

Camp is over for another year and we rejoice in the victoriesthe Lord gave us. They testify to the power of the simple andpure Gospel as compared with the trappings surrounding the religion of Italy, The" enclosed composite bears witness to thegreatness of God,

As always, in the fall, the broadcast of the "Search the Scriptures" program begins to reach farther and comes in clearer.Yesterday we were pleased to have a large envelope containingletters from new listeners and some from old listeners. One

especially made us rejoice because it came from a lady with whomwe had had some very serious correspondence and just when wefelt the point was being reached where a decision on her partwas to be made, she wrote asking to be removed from our mailinglist and gave no further indication that she wanted the correspondence continued. Mail was returned from her unopened. Weput her on our prayer list and have continued to remember herin prayer daily.

Then yesterday there was a letter from her in the Luxembourgenvelope saying: "I do not need to tell you how thrilled I am tohear your voice again, I shall never forget your kind thoughtsand consideration of me two or three years ago, I was beingpushed around then, and still am, and much overwhelmed. Thepile of wonderful typed manuscripts you sent me were unfortunately left behind. Could you send me some more of your lecturesand I shall guard them extra carefully this time. "

Perhaps with this renewed contact we shall have the opportunityto go beyond the last step we were able to take in her company, especially if the Lord, through you, continues to provide for justsuch a work. Thank you for being His helper with us.
