American women poet.

Phillis wheatly was born in 1753 in west african she was treated kindly

In the holdhouse.

She was kidnapped and taken to boston on A slave ship in 1761

Soon recognize her talents and gave her priviledges unusual for a slave.

She was purchased by john wheatly. As a personal servant for his wife susanna.

They aloud her to Learn to read and write.

Wheatly’s frist poem to appear in print was on me.

Phillips wheatley was a slavery and had lots poets.
