Introduction to Progress Goal of the system

The Progress application is a tool for resident review and ACGME requirement tracking. The purpose of the tool is to provide a simple review form that can be launched from PACS to facilitate efficient resident feedback.

Where to find the system The system is entirely web-based and located as a launch-able link from the portal page.

Browser compatibility To ensure you have the best experience please use one of the following browsers versions. The system currently supports the Chrome (>=42.x), Safari (>=8.x), Firefox (>=37.x) and Internet Explorer (>=9). The system has also been tested and validated for use on tablet computers. Logging in The system is capable of displaying patient health information and requires a user to login to the system via the main portal page, typically with their enterprise login ID. The system does not directly manage user names and passwords but delegates that function to your institution’s central enterprise directory system. All page views are logged in the auditing system based on the authorized user ID.

Create Review A user with the ‘attending’ role can create reviews. From the homepage, the user can launch the new review page with an exam pre-selected by clicking the ‘New Review’ button in the email-style view. The new review page can also be launched through the image viewing system. When creating the review, you must choose the type of review you would like to create and complete that specific review for that exam. At the bottom, additional comments can be added (or may be required based on configuration). The help button is configured to assist radiologists on the specific process of finding and copying the appropriate draft text.

Request Review

A user with the ‘resident’ role can request reviews. From the homepage, the user can launch the request review page with an exam pre-selected by clicking the ‘Request Review’ button in the email-style view. The request review page can also be launched through a PACS integration.

A resident also has the ability to to submit reviews on behalf of attending radiologists (this functionality is configurable, so it may not displayed). This is done by clicking “Request Review” and then clicking the hyperlink that says “Create on behalf of attending”. This will allow residents to create a review on behalf of the attending.
