Philippine Nursing Act of 2002 (RA 9173)Salient changes include:1. Membership of BON is increased from 5 to 7 members
2. Nursing education, discriminatory provision that “applicants desiring to enroll in a nursing course must belong to the upper 40% of the graduating class is deleted
3. Nursing Practice, nurses are now recognized as independent health practitioners with specific duties
