Speak it into existence Running is as mental as it is physical, as a runner you have to tell yourself that you can do it. A strong mind equals an even stronger body. Create a training plan Create a training plan that includes what you intend to work on and get out of your training regimen. Runners World has several training plans that detail your specific type of regimen. Run with a friend If staying motivated is becoming a challenge, run with a friend. There are also several running groups around Philadelphia to join as well. The conversation and moral support makes the run move a lot smoother. That’s what friends are for, right? For many, New Year’s resolutions are always easy to make, but difficult to commit to. Most

find themselves going strong in January only to fall off after the first few weeks.

So here are some tips to help you maintain your New Year’s resolution and ensure that you

will be in tip-top shape for the next race.

Speak it into existence

Running is as mental as it is physical, as a runner you have to tell yourself that you can do

it. A strong mind equals an even stronger body.

Create a training plan
