Asterand’s XpressBANK™ biorepository consists of hundreds of thousands of fully consented tissue from donors with a broad range of disease states (>75% cancer tissue), extensive ethnic diversity, and corresponding comprehensive clinical data. XpressBANK tissue is obtained under strict, standardized procedures and rigorous QC-tests are conducted to ensure the integrity of molecular representation. Tissue sections from tumors and normal tissue controls are available in FFPE, flash frozen, mirrored pairs, matched pairs, and tissue array formats for molecular pathology analyses. Through our extensive worldwide network of tissue suppliers, we have immediate access to available unfixed, unpreserved tissue for use in cell-based assay services.

The physiological relevance of conventional 2D cell culture systems has increasingly been questioned. Our PhaseZERO expert scientists recognize the value of creating 3D cell culture systems that better simulate the cellular microenvironment and signaling pathways present in diseased tissue.
