PHARMA EXTRUSION ACADEMYFrom basics to latest trends in the extrusion development of new drugs
Extrusion technology with co-rotating twin-screws has become an established method for production of phar-maceuticals with significant advantages. It is widely used for hot melt extrusion, granulation, lipid extrusion, and more. In order to get the most out of this technology, deep understanding of extrusion and the related fields, such as QbD, PAT and formulation screening is key for success.Scope:Theoretical and practical sessions in pharmaceutical extrusion including basics as well as future trends. Target groups:It is recommended for operators of extruders as well as formulators and production staff members. The kick-start for beginners and the update for experienced professionals.About:The training provides theoretical sessions and practical demos. It is conducted with experienced partners from R&D and industry (MeltPrep, ColVistec, University of Leicester, SCC Consulting).

Number of participantsThe number of participants is limited to ₂₅ persons.
PriceParticipation fee ₁,₁₉₀.- EUR plus VAT
Special conditionsIn case of simultaneous multiple registrations from one company we grant the following reductions per participant: For two registrations ₅ % and for three or more registrations ₁₀ % discount.
CancellationWritten cancellation is required. Up until one week before the beginning of the event we have to invoice a cancellation fee of ₁₀ % of the participation fee plus VAT. In case of a later cancellation the full price has to be invoiced. In this case we will send the training material upon request. It is possible to name a substi-tute participant upon prior agreement.
LocationThe conference location are the premises of Leistritz Extrusionstechnik (www.leistritz.com).
SafetyPractical demonstrations take place in the lab and require safety equipment. Protective glasses and gloves are provided, but please bring along own steel-toed safety shoes if possible and/or available.
Hotel/Accommodation Accommodation is not included in the participation fee. An allotment on demand for a limited number of preferential rate rooms is available for participants in the conference hotel.
