On the rain shadow side of the Himalayas, lies the crown jewel that is Ladakh. It happens to

be one of the most famous holiday des�na�ons for every nature lover & photographer.

Known as the Land of High Passes, Ladakh is home to some of the highest roads in the world (Umling La, Zoji La, and Khardung La, all above 18,000 �.) The trip starts when you land in Leh. For the next 8 days and 7 nights, we will be exploring the amazing sights in Ladakh region by private vehicle.

Detailed I�nerary:

Day 1 – 10 th August : Arrival in Leh

Meet us at Leh Airport between 7 to 9 AM.

Check-in at the hotel for a complete day of leisure. Welcome tea and coffee will be served at the hotel. Rest for a while to acclima�ze to the high al�tude weather. If your health permits, you can explore the surroundings & start to acquire photography tricks at the hotel terrace. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Ladakh’s high-al�tude mountain air is thin and our bodies need to be acclima�zed to the environment. It is advised to spend the first day on arrival by res�ng and ge�ng used to the se�ng in order to ensure that you will not face any difficul�es during the tour.

Day 2 – 11 th August : Full day sight-seeing of monasteries & palaces around Leh (102 km)

A�er breakfast, we proceed to visit Thiksey monastery, Shey Palace, Sindhu Ghat, & return back to Leh for lunch. A�er lunch, we will visit Hall of fame, Leh palace, Shan� Stupa. Dinner & Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 – 12 th August : Leh - Khardung La - Nubra Valley (127 km approx.)

A�er breakfast, we will leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung La (17,582 �.), one of the highest motorable roads in the world. We will reach Hunder by late a�ernoon. Dinner & overnight stay in a camp or hotel at Hunder or Diskit.

▪ Experience sand dunes in the midst of a beau�ful riverine valley, with mountains towering all around

▪ Spectacular views of the Zanskar range across the Indus Valley in the south, and the Saser massif in the north

Day 4 – 13 th August : Nubra Valley - Pangong Tso (150km approx.)

A�er breakfast, we will visit the Diskit monastery. Later, we will travel to the famous Pangong Lake, known for its lush blue colour and pictorial landscape that never fails to a�ract travellers. It is the largest brackish water lake in Asia, stretching to about 4 to 5 KMs wide and about 135 KMs long of which, two-thirds of its por�on lies across the Indo-Chinese border. Overnight stay at Pangong Tso.

▪ An unparalleled view of the en�re Nubra Valley from Shyok Village ▪ Impressive 32 metre tall (106 feet) Buddha statue situa�on on top of a hill, just

below the Diskit monastery ▪ Serene view of Pangong Tso ▪ Experiencing overnight camp stay by the lake

Days 5 - 6 – 14 th & 15 th August : Pangong Tso to Hanle (160 km approx.)

A�er an early breakfast, we will drive to Hanle, travelling via Mann, Merak, Chushul, Tsaga-la and Loma bend. Hanle village boasts of having some of India’s best night skies. This is due to its high al�tude and lack of light pollu�on, making it an ideal spot for stargazing and astrophotography. Two nights’ stay at Hanle.

▪ Indian Astronomical Observatory is the 10th-highest astronomical observatory by eleva�on at 4,500 m (14,800 �.)

▪ Overnight stay near the Indo-China border

Day 7 – 16 th August : Hanle to Leh (150 km approx.)

A�er breakfast, we drive back to Leh via Loma bend. Spend the evening buying momentos at the famous Leh market. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh

Day 8 – 17 th August : Departure from Leh Airport

This tour is especially curated for amateur as well as professional photography enthusiasts with an interest to visit & capture the beauty of Ladakh. No prior exper�se or experience in photography is necessary, as our experts will be there to assist you from the basics. You may carry any type of camera, be it a simple point & shoot, a DSLR or an ac�on camera.

What is the fitness level required for this tour? Are there any age restric�ons?

People who are generally fit to manage their day-to-day life independently should normally not have any issues throughout the journey. People of any age group can join. However, we suggest that you check with your doctor once, especially if you are suffering from any chronic illnesses like asthma, blood pressure or heart ailments.

I am not a photographer. But I want to visit Ladakh nevertheless. Can I join anyway?

Yes, of course! Travel enthusiasts who are not photographers but are keen to experience the beauty of Ladakh can also enjoy at the same level as others.

Can I bring my non-photographer friend along with me?

Yes, surely.

Will there be a lot of walking / trekking involved?

Not necessarily. However, you may have to walk / hike a li�le bit while we explore monasteries, temples, etc.

What are the prerequisites to par�cipate in this tour?

Apart from interest in photography, adventure, travel or explora�on, a minimum level of fitness is essen�al. If you are unsure of your fitness or suffer from chronic al�tude sickness or a known illness, please consult your physician before signing up for this tour .
