ADMISSION NOTICE FOR Ph.D. IN AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING.

Applications in the prescribed form are invited for admission from Academic

staff members working in four Agricultural Universities in Maharashtra under thescheme In-service Training for Higher Studies leading to Ph.D. in Agricultural

Engineering.

Discipline in the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering for Ph.D. Degree

programme.

(1) Farm Power and Machinery (2) Agricultural Process Engineering (3) Irrigation

and Drainage Engineering, (4) Soil and Water Conservation Engineering (5)

Renewable Energy Sources.

Eligibility Conditions:

1. Candidate fulfils the eligibility condition for in-service trainees prescribed by

the respective university giving permission for higher studies.

2. The candidate should have completed at least five years continuous service on

temporary or permanent establishment of University on OR before last date

prescribed for submission of application.

3. The candidate must be M.Tech. (Agril. Engineering) degree or equivalent

there to in the concerned subject/ discipline.

4. The candidate should not have completed 50 years of age on first January of

the year of admission.

5. The eligible staff members who wish to apply should submit the applicationalong with DD of Nationalised bank for Rs.600/- for open category & 300/-

for reserved category in favour of Assistant Registrar, (PGI) Dr.P.D.K.V.,

Akola payable at Akola in the prescribed form appended in Annexure-I duly

filled in to the Associate Dean (Instruction) Dr. PDKV, Akola through proper

channel on or before 15th

November 2010. The candidates may also send the

advance copy of the application to the Associate Dean (Instruction) Dr.

PDKV, Akola.

6. The Head of office shall forward the application of the candidates working in

this University (Dr. PDKV) along-with original service book of applicants so

as to reach in the office of the Associate Dean Instruction), Dr. PDKV, Akola

on or before 15th November 2010.

7. The candidates working in other Three Agril. Universities in Maharashtra, the

Head of Office shall forward the application of the candidates along-with a

Certificate regarding correctness of the information filled in the application

form by the candidate in the format given in Annexure-I(a).

8. The terms and conditions governing inservice training are appended in

Annexure-II.

The application received incomplete or not signed by the applicant shall betreated cancelled.

ANNEXURE – II

TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING INSERVICE TRAINING

1) The Inservice Trainee shall abide by the Rules and Regulations framed by the

university for regular students in respect of discipline, conduct, residence,

library, study tour, examination etc.

2) The inservice trainee shall not be eligible to receive any scholarship or

fellowship except the pay and allowances granted by the university.

3) The inservice trainee shall pay the fees and other charges as applicable to the

regular students.

4) The inservice trainee shall not confer on the employee a right to claim

seniority/ promotion because of the higher qualification acquired.

5) If the selected trainee fails to join the course under this scheme, he shall not beconsidered for selection for inservice training for next 5 years.

6) The trainee once selected and joined and has left the course without completion

will also not be considered for inservice training for next five years.

7) The inservice trainee shall be governed by the terms and conditions prescribed

by the respective university from time to time.

8) The T.A. and D.A. shall not be admissible to the employee selected for

inservice training for joining the course during training and resuming the duty

after completion of training.

IN CASE OF ANY DISPUTE ARISING IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS

SCHEME, THE DECISION OF THE VICE-CHANCELLOR SHALL BE FINAL

AND BINDING ON ALL THE CONCERNED.
