Identify and acknowledge gaps in personal knowledge and skills

Develop strategies for filling gaps in personal knowledge base

Expand each persons clinically applicable knowledge base of the basic and clinical sciences underlying the care of patients with medical illness in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Communicate sensitively and effectively with patients with medical illnesses

Use evidence-based, cost-conscious strategies in the care of patients with medical illnesses in both inpatient and outpatient setting
