Radisson Blu Hotel

Overlooking the famous La Côte des Basques surfer’s beach, the Radisson Blu hotel is a

stylish and contemporary four star hotel. Located in the heart of Biarritz and only a short

walk or taxi ride from the city centre where you can find an exciting and eclectic mix of

great restaurants, bars and nightlife.

Contemporary style

The hotel offers 150 spacious and light rooms. The majority of the rooms come with

fabulous views of the town or ocean. The Transat Café and lounge are situated on the

rooftop terrace where you can gaze at the spectacular natural beauty of the ocean or

sip cocktails and admire the sunset. As an aside, we think the hotel serves the best buffet

breakfast in Biarritz to date. The Radisson Blu is a really nice comfortable establishment

which is always very popular with our Biarritz golfing clients … and for good reason !!

Just three miles from the centre of Biarritz, the Golf ilbarritz training centre was designed

and constructed in 1988 by the architect Pierre Thevenin, to revolutionise the method of

golf training in Biarritz and to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the nearby and historic

Le Phare golf club. The site of the training centre was chosen for its beautiful location, on

top of the cliffs with it’s natural undulating hills.

The views of the sea and further across to the Spanish coastline, will be very memorable

for any visitor to Golf ilbarritz, whose nine holes have a par of 32 and total length of 2,400

yards. Whilst the Biarritz area is packed with some unforgettable championship courses,

Golf ilbarritz is without doubt an excellent compliment, offering a relaxing and enjoyable

option for any group enjoying a golf tour to this most magical Atlantic ocean town.

Golf de Biarritz

This is the second oldest course in mainland Europe at which a great sense of history

pervades. Understandably so after having been built and tinkered with by legendary

course architects Willie Dunn and Harry Colt. An older type of course, Golf de Biarritz is not

one of the longest tracks you will ever encounter, nor thankfully will the topography leave

you with aching calf muscles … though it does deserve a great deal of respect.

The original Biarritz layout, called Le Phare, as it's located just inland from the town’s main

lighthouse, is a par 69 course. It is relatively short at only 5376 meters, but provides a gentle

and relaxing round of golf. A very pleasant parkland landscape twinned with Augusta

National and a beautifully manicured course. However, with discreet wire like rough, a

plethora of bunkers and fast greens to contend with, Le Phare can bite back !!

Exclusive courier service

The Biarritz Golfing Experience club and luggage courier service replaces an airline

luggage and club allowance. We will collect all golf clubs and luggage from one central

UK collection point and transport them, fully insured, to your destination in preparation for

your arrival in Biarritz and your golfing experience.

This service allows you to travel more efficiently to your destination airport, saving fuel and

airport parking charges and allows the outbound and return airport lounges along with

any overnight stops, to be enjoyed without cumbersome clubs or luggage. It also means

that our clients can make additional purchases which can be brought back without

having to be carried independently, subject to some size and weight parameters. All

luggage and clubs, will be delivered back to one central client delivery point on return.

Direct to your front door

For an additional fee, all luggage and clubs can be collected and delivered from and

returned to, the house of each of the tour members individually.
