Using the plastic trim tools, unclip the dashboard panel.
Remove screw 1 on the left-hand side next to the speedometer.
Remove screw 2 on the right-hand side.
Using the plastic trim tools unclip the panel with the air vent and the
central screen. Remove it and disconnect it.

ATTENTION: it is essential that you do not turn on the ignition during the kit disassembly and assembly procedure as this will cause error codes to be generated
on the electronic boxes. If this happens, use the diagnosis set to wipe the error codes.
On the Electric and e-HDI versions, do not disconnect or bridge the battery as there is a risk of the charge capacitor exploding.

Using the plastic trim tools, unclip the plastic car stereo surrounds. Remove screw 3 located on the
left side of the radio.
Remove screw 4 located on the right side of the radio.
Unclip the radio faceplate and disconnect it.
Remove screws 5 and 6, pull and remove the radio disconnecting the connector and the antenna.
Open the ashtray cover.

Unclip the ashtray and remove it. Unclip the gearstick cover.
Unclip the DIAG socket and take it out from underneath towards
the gearstick housing.
Unclip the panel on the left-hand side of the dashboard.

Release the fuse box cover. Remove the door seal on the driver’s side.

Insulate with electrical tape. Push the connector back and clip
it into its housing from underneath.
Using a jumper or a pigtail connection, connect a wire to the
RED wire in position 1 on the DIAG socket.
Pass the wire from the underneath towards the radio
housing.
For adapter 86165 cut the orange wire between the fuse holder and the ISO connector
(supplied) and connect the ACC wire.

For adapter 84744/9706AT/9706CF+AT disconnect the blue or orange wire in
front of the fuse then connect the ACC wire.

Microphone passage
Using the plastic trim tools, run the cable under the headliner and
down the windscreen post on the driver’s side.
Stick the bracket (supplied) to the cabin light panel, after having
thoroughly cleaned the surface.
Run the cable replacing the seal on the driver's side door.
Pass the cable into the dashboard on the left side.

Then run it, attaching with wire ties under the dashboard.

Feeding the accessory cable
Make a 22 mm hole and feed the cable through towards the
radio and fit the cover supplied. Then pull it out making sure you
leave sufficient length.

Fitting the hands-free system 1 / 2
Connect the adaptor to the original connector. Connect all of the wires to the blue box as shown in the diagram below. Test before
refitting then slide the assembly down after refitting the radio.

Behind the storage compartment below the screen.
Use a cutter to make a 10mm hole in the bottom and feed the
screen cable through.
Then feed it between the air vents towards the radio housing.
Stick the support (supplied) in the storage compartment after cleaning the surface, cutting it
level with the joint.

Testing
Before refitting the system, switch the kit on using the ignition (or by starting the car). By pushing the central knob
of the remote control, check:
1 - That the menu is displayed on the screen. (Language or iPod.) 2 - That the system can be muted. (Click on the blue box.) 3 - That there is no sound coming from the speakers. 4 - That the sound from the voice menu is coming out of the front speakers. 5 - Then turn off the ignition. Check that the kit switches off and that the "goodbye" message appears on the screen. (If this fails, reverse the fuses on the kit's wiring harness.) 6 - Pair a telephone with the kit to make a call. (Check that both the microphone and the kit are working.)

Reassembly
Refit the system using the following procedure: 1 – Reconnect the adaptor and the antenna and re-fit the radio. (Put the blue box with the cables underneath.) 2 - Replace screws 5 and 6. 3 - Reconnect the connector on the radio faceplate and clip it back in place. 4 - Replace screws 3 and 4 and replace the plastic covers. 5 - Clip the air vent surrounds and the screen back in place. 6 - Replace screws 1 and 2 and clip the dashboard panel back into place. 7 - Clip the gear stick cover back in place and replace the ashtray. 8 – Re-fit the fusebox cover by pushing firmly. 9 – Re-fit the panel on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
