Steve

Petty was

born

Feb. 15, 1960 and grew up i n the Black Oak area of

Lewis County,

Kentucky. After

graduation

from

high

school, Steve

enrolled at

Kentucky

Christian

College

in Grayson, Kentucky. He graduated May 8, 1981 with an A.B . degree

and

was

ordained May

10,

1981 at the Black Oak

Christian

Church with definite plans for foreign

m i s s i o n a r y service. Steve has p a r t i c i p a t e d

in s everal

facets of the m i n i s t r y

such as

m u s i c ,

a

p u b l i c

c a m p g r o u n d

c h a p l a i n c y , y o u t h work,

a

m i s s i o n a r y internhsip,

a n d the

teaching/preaching mi nistry.

Joni

(Rice)

Petty

was

born March 1,1962 and is a native

of Zanesville,

Ohio

where

she attended

the North

Terrace C hurch

of

Christ. She had three years

of

french

before

g r a d u a t i n g

f o r m Z a n e s v i l l e H i g h S c h o o l . W h i l e a t t e n d i n g K . C . C . J o n i

shared their interest for missions

and

continue to do so after their marriage i n

October, 1981. Joni

Janet Duffy have decided

take an

internship

this

summer in Belgium to

work

with Dennis Messimer and visit other European missions. Dennis was the mission

ary that Steve interned

1980. Bruce and Janet

plan

to

jo i n

us in France

after Janet's graduation fromK.C.C. in

1 9 8 5 .

Bruce will

graduate

t h i s year.
