LASER CUTING

The laser cutting technique has a quick and simple application and can be used directly on all sorts of textiles (denim, leather, etc.)When it comes to laser cutting, the range of the materials that can be used is vast: linen, nonwovens, leather, cotton, synthetic fibers, etc...

Our laser cutting machines can also be used to cut through thicker and tougher materials such as Kevlar, for example.

When compared to the traditional cutting equipments, our laser machines bring a whole set of advantages:

- Speed/Efficiency.

- No direct contact with the raw materials in order to avoid any structural changes.

- Sharp edges with a “cauterized” finish to avoid fraying.

Our laser engraving technique is better than traditional engraving techniques because it uses the concentrated heat of a laser beam to make smooth changes on the surface of materials.

Applying digital printing directly on your garments by using top end industrial inks specifically developed for textile printing allows us to achieve optimal results.

This technique has also the advantage of not needing the same quantity of chemical products necessary for the preparation of garments, something that other conventional printing techniques cannot be without.

The type of ink used by this technique is water based and compliant with the Oeko-Tex certification.

Why choose Digital Printing?-You can create beautiful dégradé effects and respect every nuance of your images.-You can reproduce pictures or high resolution images with a large array of colors.

SUBLIMATION

The sublimation technique is used to print directly on textile materials and it has the advantage of being resistant to several washing cycles, while keeping the colors bright and lively.

The principle behind sublimation is quite simple: we do a reverse print on a special sheet of paper (in an offset printer) so that we can transfer the printed motifs to the textile base we want them to be printed in.Both the paper and the textile base are pressed against each other by a hot cylinder (at around 120º) during a few minutes and after a while, the ink that was printed on the paper sheet starts to adhere to the fabric.

Two reasons to choose sublimation:

Unrivaled printing quality.This technique offers high contrast, intensity and depth to your colors. Colors are bright and in such a large spectrum that we can also achieve high-density blacks.Furthermore, the sublimated fabric absorbs light better and avoids reflections on your designs.

Our pattern placing software allows us to optimize our cutting operations, effectively reducing the waste of raw materials to a minimum.

Our LECTRA automatic cutter can cut through several fabric layers of up to 5cm thick and we can cut a wide variety of textile materials.

Solar - new frontiers for renewable energy: the idea that one day we'll all use free electricity from the sun.

This is a seductive promise, because on a bright, sunny day, the sun's rays give off approximately 1,000 watts of energy per square meter of the planet's surface. If we could collect all of that energy, we could easily power our homes and offices and industries….

Olive stones - an attractive source of bioactive and valuable compound.The olive stone and seed are an important byproduct generated in the olive oil extraction and pitted table olive industries. As a lignocelluloses material, the hemicelluloses, cellulose and lignin are the main components of olive stone as well as protein, fat, phenols, free sugars and polyol composition. The main use of this biomass is as combustion to produce electric energy or heat. Nowadays, it is necessary to ensure that new types of biomass fuel have minimal environmental impact and cover new energy demands. From this viewpoint, the olive stone is an interesting fuel due its low N and S percentages.This fact minimizes the NOx and SO2 emissions that are found in acid rain and contribute to the destruction of the ozone layer. It can be mixed with the vegetation water concentrate as an efficient fuel to reduce the environmental impact of this waste. The heat of combustion of the stone is 4.075 Kcal Kg_1, which is near the carbohydrate heat of combustion (4.10 Kcal Kg_1).The heating power of the stones is used for power generation in the electricity sector and for space heating in residential and commercial buildings.Stones are used as a biomass for power generation in combustion- turbine cycle, gas turbine-based solution or hybrid Solutions. Gas turbine-based solutions are the most often used system in byproducts, with an average price as biomass in Europe of 0.05 /Kg A more detailed study regarding the uses of thermally treated olive stones was realized by Thermal processes such as pyrolysis, combustion and gasification with its products and which were clearly described as real uses of this byproduct.

The carbon dioxide emission calculator will help us gain an approximate idea of how many tons of carbon dioxide our activities generate and how many trees it would take to offset those emissions.

This rate will be calculated on a daily basis from every aspect of our

industrial activities …and trees will be planted to compensate any

In the wake of what many international organisations are already doing, our company aims at creating a FUTURE LAB, i.e. a laboratory without walls designed to promote international cooperation, within the framework of the textile industry, with some of the biggest Fashion brands in the world.

This lab will be a think-tank composed of our technical specialists, stylists and designers connected through close and dynamic networks to the main players in the world of Fashion.

They will be encouraged to engage in the constant creation and development of products with clear and unequivocal added-value. Aimed primarily at providing a service to our partners, this think-tank will be able to stimulate and develop thinking within the specific context of the industry on issues such as the close connection between the process of scientific research and the actual development of products or even on the motivations, competences and knowledge behind the success of the industrial ventures.

This lab is, ultimately, a centre of analysis, ideas and constant proposals, firmly based on the notion of knowledge interchange.

Improving the cost-effectiveness of the health sector is a goal that is shared by all.In cooperation with renowned European Hospitals, Petratex is engaged in short to medium term projects that involve the supplying of high tech reusable surgical gowns (thanks to its NOSEW patent) that will meet the needs of safety and comfort of both surgeons and patients.

This will be one of the products of our Green+ product line, which will contribute significantly to the reduction of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and nitric oxide emissions and another step towards the protection of our planet.
